Top 5 Skills to practice if you're playing Futsal in Nepal.
All the skills are equally important, it is in no particular order.
1. The Pull Back V
1. The Pull Back V
- This skill is mostly done to create space in the midfield area to shoot or to pass to a teammate.
- You can go past any defender unless the defender is Sergio Ramos.
- Importance:
- - Opens up space to shoot or pass
- - Less injury risk
- If you have a team-mate to practice with that's good, if you don't you can practice with a cone or just make imaginary plus signs doing the Pull Back V.
- You can learn the move from the video below.
2. Shooting
- Yes, shooting seems like the most important skill but knowing in which area of the goal post to shoot is important too.
- In Nepal, most futsal goalkeepers know how to save shots coming straight at them, top corners or bottom corners.
- The area where you should shoot is the area between those areas.
- Shoot in that area with good power and there is no chance for any keeper to save it.
- Combining the pullback v with this shooting technique is a deadly combination, almost as deadly as Luis Suarez's fangs.
- Somewhere around the area shown below
3. La Croqueta
- If you translate the word, La Croqueta means a portion of dough, usually round or oval, made with a hashbrown egg and breadcrumbs and fried in abundant oil.
- But in the world of football, it is a move in which the player passes the ball from one foot to another to leave defenders in the dust.
- This move is done a lot by players like Isco, Andreas Iniesta, Laudrup, Cazorla, Messi, etc.
- Why La Croqueta?
- - To get past defenders.
- - To get out of tight situations.
- - Can do this move anywhere on the pitch.
- This move is perfect for futsal, while doing this move the ball is always under close control of the player, which is an advantage because of the small area of futsal grounds in Nepal.

4. Nutmeg or Panna
- I mean who doesn't love a perfectly executed Nutmeg/Panna.
- I wasn't going to miss this one in my list because It gets you, past defenders, leaves your opponent humiliated and gives you that awesome satisfaction.
- You can learn the skill from Youtube.
5. Passing and Receiving
- As the grounds in Nepal are small, we need to have accurate passing ability so that the possession is kept. And receiving the ball is equally as important
- Use the full length of the pitch, while receiving the ball in our own half.
- Importance of receiving in open space:-
- - It gives you more time to think about what to do with the ball
- - You make the opponents tired by making them chase for the ball which is an advantage.
- Importance of passing accurately and in the right place:-
- - You make it easier for the teammate and hard for the opponent.
- - When you use the full length of the pitch the keeper can be used to pass the ball around too.
- Here is a video on passing, you can go watch other videos too.
- Here is a video on receiving the ball.
